A variety of customizable user settings exist. These settings can all be modified from the preferences page. The site password is required to change most of these settings.
It is important that this email address is valid, and that you check it regularly. This email address is used for a variety of important notifications including:
- Support ticket replies
- Renewal reminders
- Servers status updates
- Password resets
Passwords
Passwords can either be set globally for all services, or on a per slot basis. For simplicity, it is recommended that you choose to set one password for everything.
Requirements
Passwords must be at least 6 characters long.
Site password
This is the master password used to access the site. It is initially chosen by the user upon registration and is required to change certain settings such as passwords and email. If this password is forgotten, it can be reset through email.
Slot password
The slot password is used to access all slot features including:
- Torrent clients: rTorrent, Deluge, Transmission
- Helm file manager
- FTP, SFTP
- SSH
It is initially delivered in the slot delivery email but can be changed.
Geographic Location
This location is used to determine applicable sales tax. 5% GST is collected for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon. 12% HST is collected for British Columbia. 13% HST is collected for Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador and New Brunswick. 15% HST is collected for Nova Scotia. No sales tax is collected for international customers.
