Wiki > BitTorrent Clients
A BitTorrent client is a computer program that manages downloads and uploads using the BitTorrent protocol. Whatbox provides three BitTorrent clients for use: rTorrent, Deluge, Transmission and qBittorrent. Users can easily switch between clients from their Slots Settings page.
Clients
rTorrent
rTorrent is the default client on Whatbox Slots. It is a lightweight and powerful torrent client. rTorrent has a text-based interface, a graphical WebUI and an Android app. For more information, see the rTorrent article.
Deluge
A full-featured open source BitTorrent client with multiple user interfaces. It can be controlled from a GTK thin client, a WebUI and a text-based console. For more information, see the Deluge article.
Transmission
A solid client with a simple, clear interface. It is easy to use and has native Mac, Gtk+, Qt, Web, and terminal interfaces. For more information see the Transmission article.
qBittorrent
A client with an interface similar to ruTorrent and µTorrent. It can be used with its own WebUI interface.
